Our land is designated a "Reserve de repeuplement" by the local Chasse which means there is no hunting allowed on it and it has therefore become a refuge for all the local wildlife. Golden Oriels and nightingales enchant us in spring and early summer; buzzards, owls, bats and hawks entertain us all summer and autumn. Families of deer are regular visitors to Fumel. Due to a careful policy on pesticides with farming and vines, our land benefits from wild orchids and fritillaries in early summer.
Our team is made up of local residents and the fluent French speaking on-site English owner are all passionate about sharing their love of the local area. However, Ringo is really the boss!
Having lived in France for at least 30 years, having a love of all things cullinary and historical we are ideally placed to advise you of a miriad of places to see & restaurants to eat in.
